Crab - A pretentious, roguish, opportunist and mean parasite who lacks ethics and whose words and actions never match.
You'll find many crabs around you, pretending to be what they are not and doing everything to hide their true self. These people are often aimless and clueless and lack basic human values ( honesty and empathy), because of which they are more interested in other people's lives and actions just because they find it cool. Mistake or failure of others gives pleasure to a crab. They drift towards immediate pleasures (sex, fun, money, etc) easily. Crabs also fall for gestures and acts that are aspirational and cool (so-called). Crabs are often insecure, and they like to dig deep into the lives of others to find flaws ( btw who doesn't have flaws!?) so that after pointing them out, they can feel better. Someone's self-improvement, which can cause betterment in their lives and families, makes these crabs uncomfortable as the feeling of being left behind strikes them. Crabs are clueless and pretentious, so they don't even acknowledge their own flaws ( which again will trigger their insecurity), forget working on them. In one phrase - crabs are scared of the growth of their peers. The sad part, they don't leave their own friends.
But why?
Simple, their lack of productive actions and indulgence in short-term pleasures (social media, sex) leads them to point fingers at others without any introspection. They want everyone to be on the same track and have the same pace as them as it provides them with comfort, for which they can do anything ( yes, anything!!). Instead of appreciating you for any step or action, they choose criticism, which is too biased and discouraging (that's their fear talking). They choose copying instead of exploring their own interests. Crabs also live in a delusion that their actions are not being registered. Their every single action gets noticed, which gradually develops your aversion towards them. But the only emotion one must-have for them is pity. Because this is a path of suffering, and sooner or later, their facade will come off, devoid of anything that they can say is their own and self-cultivated. They live their entire lives pulling down people ( which they often fail) only to end up being shallow, empty and fake. Beware of crabs around you!
